Harrison Bergeron

Dear Mom and Dad,

You might not know me but I'm your son. I remembered clearly that I was captured in the prison because of my smartness, handsomeness, and strength. How can the world change so much? Dad do you realize that every time you think of something that's smart it gets forgotten by the handicap? Our world is going crazy by trying to make everyone equal, but how can people live in such kind of world? The government doesn't want people who are different they want everyone the same, and if people who are different needs to be treated equally as others.

My dear mom and dad this is why I'm in prison now. I'm stuck here with huge earphones, metal handicaps, and a clown nose just to keep my handsomeness away. Every minute I get creeped out awaiting for the screech of noise because of my smartness. I really do hate every moment spending time in that prison, and especially the Handicapper General. She did everything to destroy me and make me equal just the same as everyone else.

I believe no one gets to deserve to be treated like this. I wanted to be free and just myself, and interact with the society. I have decided to escape that cellar and into that ballet show. I needed to experience being myself again with my handsome body, using my smart brain, and tearing off the metal handicaps with my strength. The world needs to know that everyone deserves to act freely, and be themselves. These people who wear handicaps, has a mask covering their face, wearing metal handicaps...etc. needs to experience the better them for just once. If people are like that in our world we can't possibly enjoy, and have fun since everything is so equal. Sometimes the difference in looks, strength, and smartness is necessary for a living in our life. Mom and Dad make sure you're watching TV at 3:50 PM and how the world is going to change.

Love Harrison Bergeron
Mom and Dad this is a picture of me, and please don't think I look like this I'm actually very handsome,  and powerful.
